TRIPLE TRACK CONFERENCE
To commemorate ten years of playing host to the brilliant minds that have helped shaped the security landscape to where it is today, HITBSecConf2012 – Malaysia will be welcoming back on stage over 42 of our most popular speakers from the last 10 years – including the likes of John ‘Captain Crunch’ Draper, The Founders of The Pirate Bay, Mikko Hypponen, DNS guru Paul Vixie, OpenBSD creator Theo de Raadt and perhaps even members of the LSD Group! We will run two packed days of triple-track, hour-long talks. There will be NO KEYNOTES, NO LAB SESSIONS and NO SIGINT slots!
We’re also ramping up this year’s show by expanding on HITB favorites – think round-the-clock 36 hour nonstop Capture The Flag and also a 36 hour hackathon to go with it. A larger HITB CommSec Village and an expanded Lockpicking ARENA! Some of you will also remember our crazy HITB Charity Auctions from years past – HITB auctioneer Roberto Preatoni who once even sold the shirt and pants off his back is – BACK! This year’s auction is in aid of the Mount Miriam Cancer Hospital – an independent facility founded in 1976 whose mission is to make treatment affordable to all cancer patients.
No HITBSecConf is complete without a party and capping off our 10th year anniversary will be our biggest post conference party yet. Sponsored as always by Microsoft, we will toast to 10 years of HITBSecConf epicness overlooking the Kuala Lumpur skyline, with IOActive’s DJ Keith Meyers behind the decks providing the choons!
