The Hispanic Forum is looking for volunteers for the 26th annual Career and Education Day.

Career and education day takes place at the George R Brown Convention Center Saturday February 25thth from 12-6pm

We need all the help we can get from volunteers!!

General volunteers are needed to direct the students to the panels, monitor hallways, direct attendants, etc. It is NOT a difficult task at all!! If you just have 2 hours, that’s fine!! We welcome anyone who wants to help!

Information Desk

To serve as a centralized source of information for all attendees. Use programs, maps and volunteer listing to disseminate information. (Desk will have walkie-talkie)

General Volunteer Registration

• Name tags to be distributed.

• Information regarding work station locations and time to be provided

• Probation hours to be signed-off by HHF Executive Director, Donna B. Lyttleton.

Traffic/Hall Monitors

Maintain a continuous flow of people through the hallways. Use maps, panel listings, exhibition hall listing, etc.

• Make sure children are not running through halls.

• Direct attendees to panel sessions.

• If anyone looks lost, try to help in directing where they might want to go.

• Remind students to drop their questionnaires in the drop boxes

Escalator, Stairway and Elevator Monitors

• Make sure the students do not crowd onto the escalators. Single file is best, but no more than two people per step.

• Do not allow the students to turn around and face the opposite way that the escalators are moving.

• Do not allow students to run up or down the escalators.
