The Interfaith organizing committee presents a unique inaugural Interfaith Day event at the Verizon Wireless

Theater. This event will be attended by elected officials from the national, state, and local levels along with Civic and religious leaders.

As you are aware, religion in the United States is characterized by both a wide diversity in religious beliefs and practices, and by a high adherence level. According to recent survey, 83 percent of Americans claim to belong

to a religious denominations, 40 percent claim to attend services more than once every week, and 58 percent claim to pray at least weekly. A majority of Americans report that religion plays a "very important" role in their lives, a proportion unusual among developed nations.

Many faiths have flourished in the United States, including the later ones, spanning the country's multi-cultural immigrant heritage, as well as those founded within the country; these have led the United States to become one of the most religiously diverse countries in the world.

At every moment, Americans are striving to make our Union better. People of religion have to do their very important role in this crucial endeavor; by coming together to understand each other's faith and Respect the differences.

Speakers & Scholars of national and international fame will make presentations. The main intent of the gathering is to bring to the fore-front various aspects of different religions, in terms of building bridges to

promote compassion, respect, peace, and healing for the human family.

The program will include an InterFaith Exhibition, Art & Cultural Gallery, Speeches, and "Sounds of Faith" presentation by Harran productions

foundation.
