Pirates of the CUREibbean - Relay for life team

I am relaying because.... Cancer needs to WALK THE PLANK.

As most of you know, I lost my grandma to a very short battle with cancer on September 3, 2011. When I say she lived her life to the fullest, I can't sum it up any other way. She was fortunate enough to travel the world. She took multiple world cruises that were 100+ days at a time along with many, many other trips. She would email friends and family every day she was gone and tell us about her trip. (I would get an email on the coldest day of winter and she would be complaining of the heat on her African safari or something.. at the end she would throw in that she won at bingo) She was a very inspiring and amazing woman. When choosing our team name, someone suggested Pirates of the CUREibbean... and immediately I thought of this little part of her email from April 8, 2009:

"Day 79 -At Sea-Indian Ocean:

I see in the Times Digest that the pirates have been active again. 5 ships hijacked in the last week. One of the halfway between the Seychelles and Mombasa. It's a good thing the captain took the 500 mile detour south. Once we get to Mozambique (our next port after Mombasa) we should be well away from pirate infested waters"
