What can be said that hasn’t already been said about the mysterious Berlin based duo – their brand of refracted dub, lo-fi scuzz and two step syntheses has taken the underground by storm over the last few years. Blending and grinding some of the most infectious and downright bizarre rhythms with abject noise and pulsations, Hype Williams are crossing as many musical borders as possible and leaving a fine trail of releases and staggering stage shows in their wake. We can’t think of many other artists operating that encapsulate the same amount of genre melting and crossover charm as these two.

From the same co-promo team that brought you Group Inerane last December – it’s with great pleasure to announce one of the most intense and mind altering stage shows of the year. This will be as much of an experience as it is a concert, so expect some seriously intense lighting and sound with countless other surprises on the night. SILK CUT

Utilizing vintage analogue drum machines and keyboards, this mysterious outfit have been taking the live scene in Glasgow by storm for the last 2 years. Jumping seamlessly between funky house, techno, juke and acid house, their sets are unpredictable as they are dancefloor-consistent. This year will see their first release on new Glasgow label Taktal, as well as various other exciting collaborations soon to be announced.

NACKT INSECTEN

Far-out psychedelic experimentalist Ruaraidh Sanachan has been one of the leading figures in the Glasgow underground scene for years. Besides playing guitar for Moon Unit, collaborating with other experimental musicians and running Sick Head Tapes (home to The Skaters to Ensemble Economique), what could be considered his solo project (Nackt Insecten) is no less ambitious. Expect everything from pastoral kosmiche to gnostic psych-folk, luscious drones to ear-challenging noise. And of course, all sorts of weird and wonderful sounds.
