Club Noir Film Night
And God Created Woman
Sunday 18th March 4 p.m.
This also happens to be Mothers Day so a lovely girlie day out for you and your mama.
At the Grosvenor Cinema
Director Roger Vadim
Cast – Brigitte BardotFrance 1956
Set in the south of France, this is the film that sparked the craze for St Tropez. Carefree Brigitte Bardot is the original sex kitten. She is perfect from her bouffant blonde hair to her petite tanned foot. And those lips – ooh la la. Trust me – if you don’t like subtitled films, give this one a chance. Brigitte pouts and seduces throughout this sun-drenched film. Causing sexual carnage between brothers and a yacht-owning millionaire. A free spirit who loves animals and children. I guarantee you will fall in love with Brigitte and the film that sparked many copycat blondes from Claudia Schiffer to Kylie (sunbathing behind a white sheet etc); and caused outrage in USA and the Catholic Church.
I for one cannot wait to see BB on a giant screen. See a snippet here
The film will be preceded by a brief talk from Club Noir owner Ian Single relating to an amusing anecdote whilst working with Brigitte Bardot in the ‘70s.
An opportunity to dress up. BB is a fashion icon so you may well be inspired by her. Ballet flats, Capri pants, gingham, kohl rimmed eyes, 22 inch waist, skinny jeans, cute cardigans, white trench coats, minimal jewellery, striped T-shirts, big hair, a golden tan. Whatever you do – no fur, she is a huge animal lover with her own animal welfare charity, The Brigitte Bardot Foundation.
