The Malone Mulhall Benefit Basketball Game

The Malone Mulhall Benefit Game was started to commemorate and honor our friends, Jamie, Paige and Michael, who lost their lives in a car accident in the summer of 2010. In remembrance of their lifelong work with the special needs population at Camp ANCHOR, we have organized this game as a way to function in some small way as a reminder of the value they placed on community. We think of this game as an opportunity to allow friends and neighbors to come together in a way our three friends would have loved.

With this in mind, the MMBG offers a family-friendly experience that puts an emphasis on giving young children the best basketball-filled day possible. The day features an all-star basketball game amongst some of the most talented players in the country, competing in the NBA and professional leagues around the world. Chris Mullin will also be a celebrity coach for one of the teams! There will be a three-point competition,a dunk contest, and plenty of half time fun with some audience participation! We will also be raffling off autographed memorabilia and great tickets to the local professional teams. Following the game, there will be an autograph session with all of our players for any fans who would like to meet the athletes. All in all, it will be sure to be a fun-filled day with plenty to offer, from the casual basketball fan to hoops-hungry youngsters.

The game is to be held on July 28th at Adelphi University, with doors opening at 12:30 PM. The day will officially kick off at 1 PM. Tickets are priced at $15 for adults, and $10 for children 12 and under. All proceeds will be donated to the Jamie and Paige Malone Foundation and the Michael Mulhall University of Scranton Scholarship. We hope to see you there for a day of basketball and family fun!
