THE SPOT YOUTH WORSHIP | "My Brother's Keeper" | OPEN FORUM ON CITY VIOLENCE

With the recent events that have been going on, our next SPOT will be an open forum looking at city violence.

We will be discussing:
- Why is this occurring?
- What can be done to stop it?
- What steps do we take from here?

We will also be praying for the affected communities, people and for our world going forward.

Bring your thoughts and friends with you.

Audette Sheppard, founder of UMOVE (United Mothers Opposing Violence Everywhere), will be joining us for the discussion and will be delivering the Final Word on Friday. See below for a description of UMOVE.

UMOVE was founded by Audette Sheppard and 16 other mothers in August of 2001. Since then UMOVE has seen many more violent deaths and continues to show support for other mothers when possible and spreading the positive word that violence is not the answer to solving problems.

Audette's only son (age 19) was a victim of gun violence in 2001.

INVITE EVERYONE! As Jesus' return is coming soon, we gotta ensure all our peoples make it to heaven. So invite out everyone, whether they are Christian or not.

Please remember those who are less fortunate. If possible, please bring a non perishable item (or items) and/or article (or articles) of clothing to be handed out to the homeless. We've been talking about this for a while but let's actually do it. The Bible talks about this y'all accompanied by some strong promises from our Lord and Heavenly Saviour. (Isaiah 58:7-9). So let's do the Father's business and hit the SPOT for those who are less fortunate.

Also, bring your Bibles as we study the Scriptures together!
