“Fleet Week 2012-Port Everglades, presented by HUMANA MILITARY HEALTHCARE SERVICES”, will take place April 25 – April 30, 2012.
Tours of the ships will be available on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday (April 26, 27, 28, and 29). Tours will run daily starting at 9 AM – with the last tour at 1530 (3:30 PM) and last approximately 30 to 45 minutes. (Note: no 11, 11:30 AM or 1, 1:30 PM tours on Wednesday, no morning tours on Sunday, but evening hours available on Thursday). You will be limited to touring one ship. Plan on being at the port at least 30 minutes ahead of the scheduled tour time. Please note that the ships are not handicap accessible and require you to be in good physical condition to navigate the steep ladders and stairways. The minimum age is 8 years.
REGISTRATION WILL CLOSE AS SOON AS ALL SPACES ARE FILLED AND NO LATER THAN MONDAY, APRIL 16th.
We expect the following ships to be in port:
• Amphibious Assault, USS Wasp (LHD-1)
• Guided Missile Cruiser, USS Gettysburg (CG-64)
• Guided Missile Cruiser, USS San Jacinto (CG-56)
• Frigate, USS Dewert (FFG-45)
• Submarine (SSN) – limited availability
