Raised Fist Productions in association with Victory Records, Media Skare Records, The Agency Group and barsnbands.com Presents:
COUNTERPARTS: It’s not often that one finds a band quite like Counterparts in the contemporary heavy music landscape. In a scene where musicianship and integrity are often overshadowed by image, Counterparts have consistently proven themselves to be among the most promising young bands the genre has to offer. The band’s unique blend of hardcore sounds is instantly recognizable. Pummeling verses and breakdowns seamlessly transition into bright melodies, bound together by an unwavering message of hope and overall positivity.
YOUR DEMISE: an explosion of energy and ideas that sees Your Demise ascending to a higher state. Offering an addictive cocktail of hardcore and metal, punk and pop-punk, pop and rock, The Kids We Used To Be… is as hard-hitting as it is uplifting, as contemplative as it is in your face and as accessible as it is downright nasty.
HUNDREDTH: Hundredth have brought the melody back to melodic hardcore in a big way. Every last one of the album’s thirteen tracks feature an underpinning of solid guitar leads that take the edge off the harsh vocals and heavy riffage. The effect it creates is almost an inherent warmth, and combined with Hundredth’s characteristic positivity, it certainly isn’t jarring or unwelcome. The line from “Monumental Pt. II” that goes, “When will we change? When will we see who we’re living for? Are you living for yourself or something greater? It’s in your hands, be the creator,” deserves the warmth Hundredth imbue it with
GIDEON: an aggressive, melodic hardcore band with an already impressive repertoire. Well-placed gang vocals and a powerful front man set Gideon apart from many of their peers, while the band as a whole, whose members have been playing together only since 2008, come off sounding like seasoned pros.
TAKING JUNO: was formed in the summer of 2011. They recorded their first EP in October 2011 at Fly By Night Recordings and are releasing it to the public on Nov 18, 2011. With the EP release and multiple shows in their hometown area, Taking Juno is working hard to carve a name for themselves in the melodic-hardcore scene.
