2012 SC Pride Parade Down Main Street

We invite you to join us for our annual Parade down Main Street!

SC Pride is celebrating 23 years of organizing Pride Celebrations in South Carolina! This year our festival has made some BIG changes and moved location to Main Street.

Our parade down Main Street, is hosted live on WXRY 99.3FM with commentary by Ms. SC Pride 2006 Patti O'Furniture and Mr. Larry Hembree the Executive Director of Trustus Theater.

The parade will be held Saturday, October 20, in downtown Columbia.

So come out and help us support, celebrate, educate, and advocate for the LGBT community of South Carolina.

Start your pride day by marching in or viewing the Pride Parade!
Assemble at 11:00 a.m. on the corner of Main and Laurel Street.

If you know of any business, organization, individual, or group that is interested in being part of the 2012 SC Pride Parade, have them download a parade application online at www.scpride.org. It is *FREE* to participate in the parade UNLESS you rent a float through one of the float companies. All applications must be turned in by October 8th.

Participants will be judge based on:
- Most Spirited Group
- Pride Colors
- 2012 Theme (yet determined)

Directly after the parade, SC Pride Festival "The Main Event" will take place On Main Street 1-6pm. Come out and celebrate your pride! Enjoy vendors, food, and lots of fun / entertainment!
