Rap Therapy: A Dialogue with Youth.
Free event; Open to the public.
Psychologist, author, and professor Don Elligan, Ph.D learned to understand youth through their language. As a result, he developed his widely praised program Rap Therapy. Now, he makes Rap Therapy available to all, explaining how to reach youth by developing an understanding of their culture.
Dr. Elligan has designed specific curricula for various issues from anger management to improving self esteem. Rap Therapy is a tool for using the sound that captures the imaginations of youth to make a difference in their lives by promoting positive behavioral change.
This event will include a Q & A session and LIVE performances!
