Come out for a night of comedy, books and blackness with The Onion's director of digital and author of the New York Times best-seller, "How To Be Black" Baratunde Thurston.

Praised by NPR's Terry Gross, comedian Patton Oswalt and reviewers across the spectrum, How To Be Black is a comedic memoir and satirical how-to guide fit for anyone who's ever been called "too black," "'not black enough," or has ever heard of "black people."

Co-hosted by Red Eye's Ernest Wilkins and featuring Chicago comedian Will Miles, the night will be full of reading, drinking, laughing and probably a little awkwardness. We'll be there late, sliding into Whiskey Friday.
