Join Lambda Legal for the 11th Annual Freedom to Marry Reception!

Bring your sweetheart, your spouse, your friends, your son/daughters, and your family members too!

The 11th annual Freedom to Marry reception is a free, family friendly community event to celebrate our progress towards marriage equality in IL.

The event will kick off with a VIP Reception for Civil Union Tracker Couples from 6:00 – 6:30pm that will feature remarks by Camilla B. Taylor, National Marriage Project Director.

The VIP Reception will be a casual, fun opportunity for same-sex couples and their families to connect with one another. We will also offer a toast in celebration of their civil unions and progress towards marriage equality. Finally, local photography studio Glitter Gutz will be providing a photo booth with free on-site prints to capture the moment!

Following the VIP Reception, the main event begins!

We'll get started at 6:30pm, with hors d'oeuvres by Las Dos Fridas Catering, delicious cupcakes from Sweets by Lulu and wine & beer provided by SideTrack, the famous video bar and Chicago mainstay.

Remarks begin at 7:15pm.

We are very happy to have special guest, DJ Ang.G of the People’s DJ Collective -- travelling all the way from the Lone Star State! -- to provide the musical backdrop for an evening full of dancing.

This is a family friendly event--bring your children, nieces/nephews -- all are welcome!

Chicago Childcare Collective will provide children's activities during the reception.
