About James Midgley: I bought my first set of vinyl decks when I was 18. I was an avid fan of the North West UK club scene. Club nights such as Hacienda, Bowlers, Ark (Leeds), Up Yer Ronson, Back to Basics, and Cream have had a huge influence on my early musical style.

When I started DJ'ing in 1995 I was playing piano house to now where I play funky vocal house. You can definitely detect the influence of early to mid 90's house music in my sets. Born in Leeds (UK) I spent my hard earned cash watching DJ's spin the vinyl in my local clubs. It wasn't long before I bought my own vinyl decks playing at house party's and then moved on to the bar scene. After a short break from DJ'ing I began to really missed the scene and luckily had a demo from a friend who had some CD decks. I then though that I had to have some, so I went out and bought a pair of CDJ's and made the transition from vinyl to CD. Having lived in London for six years I moved to India two years ago. I still love playing vinyl and often use CD and vinyl in sets where I can.
