I would like to take this opportunity to inform you of a historic hockey game that will be played for ten days (250hrs) in an attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the longest hockey game ever played!

This event will take place from May 6-16, 2012 at the Chestermere Recreational Center. Not only will we be hoping to break a Guinness World Record, the main purpose of the event is to raise funds in honor of brave children like Diamond Marshall who is currently battling cancer at the Alberta Children’s Hospital.

The proceeds raised from this event will go to support cancer research and life saving care at the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation and - as home to the tournament - a portion of the funds will also support the Chestermere Minor Hockey Association.

I ask you come out and watch these players, you will also become part of Canadian history as 40 players skate for ten days straight, living and eating at the rink in a bid to break the world record.
