MICAH BARNES & THE RULES OF ROMANCE
Internationally acclaimed Jazz Vocalist Micah Barnes is returning to his first love, the intimate Cabaret evening. Having traveled the world as a member of The Nylons, and handpicked to join Molly Johnson on her national tour in 2010, Micah is well-known by music industry insiders one of the great performing talents in the country, having shared stages with the likes of Gladys Knight, Natalie Cole and Roberta Flack.
Micah's new solo show THE RULES OF ROMANCE celebrates the joys of falling in love and the complications of relationships in keeping with the themes on Micah's latest critically acclaimed release DOMESTICATED. Micah's passionate but sophisticated style marries his own confessional Jazz songwriting with a witty modern take on cabaret. An acclaimed songwriter with three solo CD's and a repertoire of well loved songs he has been interpreting for years, Micah will be accompanying himself on the piano and feature gems from the American Standards Songbook, some R&B chestnuts and of course some old Nylons favorites.
