I would love to invite speakers and singers for the Cree Confederation Gathering hosted by Split Lake. Speakers like Matthew Coon Come, Jim Felix, Fred Evans and Rev. Verna Jebb. We have nurmerous musicians and singers from Split Lake, Norway House, Cross Lake and Shamattawa, as both host bands and special guest singers. There are alot of teachers, bible scholars, and christain educators in addictions, counseling, youth ministries, leadership, economy, business, government (whether it be chief & council, tribal, provincial, municipal, and or federal), advisors, accountants, bible schools, bible colleges, and many aspects of Indian life that could be invited to present topics relavant to Cree people across Cree land in North America.
Who will join me in requesting, planning, preparing and implementing a platform for Cree Christians at the Cree Confederation Gathering to be held in Split Lake, Manitoba August 13-16, 2012 (tentitive)? Please inbox me, we can begin by creating a planning group in facebook. We need to find out the theme, the goal, and take it from there. Pray about this and let me know. Thanks and amen.
One of the pressing matters that needs to be dealt with immediately is a formal request, approval from the Gathering committee, and an official planning group started. To get things started here on facebook, we can create a sub committee that will support who ever is appointed to coordinate along with a committee from Split Lake.
the other thing I think we need to start looking at is where to hold this event in the community or outside the community and how to accommodate all the people that will be coming to this assembly of the Lord.
I am waiting for the Gathering committee to present us with the Theme and Goal for this year's gathering. This will help us prepare the rest of the planning for our Christian componant to the event. Pray that the Lord's will be in the theme and goal for this year's annual event, amen.
