**UAS Volunteer Party: Pizza and drinks on us!!**

Right after the AGM UAS will be hosting a volunteer appreciation party! Let UAS buy you some pizza and drinks to say thanks for all of your hard work and dedication! This event is open to all members and volunteer of UAS.

Special Resolution to be made, deleting the old Articles of Incorporation/Ojbects of the Society, and replacing them with:

Article 2 - The Objectives of the Society

2.1 The objectives of the Society are:

2.1.1 To operate and manage publicly accessible exhibitions within Calgary free of charge, that educate and increase public understanding and appreciation of the visual arts.



2.1.2 To support the development of quality artistic production in Calgary by the provision of affordable visual artist studio space, and darkroom facilities in the Calgary area at below market rates.



2.1.3 To encourage artistic development of individuals, and raise public artistic taste in the visual arts by facilitating educational programs and artistic workshops open to visual artists, and the general public.



2.1.4 To ensure UAS services are welcoming and financially accessible to emerging visual artists, and to promote the artistic and public recognition of emerging visual artists within Calgary.



2.1.5 For the purposes of furthering the objectives above, but only for such purposes:

(a) To partner with other organizations that share the Society's goals,

(b) To solicit, receive, acquire and hold donations, gifts and bequests,

(c) To lease, purchase or otherwise acquire physical facilities to house the Society and its works and operations,

(d) To borrow funds and lease, mortgage, sell and otherwise dispose of property of the Society.
