Our debut album is finally ready. If you can make it out to this initial release, you can get your hands on our 10 song disc for a mere $5!!!! This price is for the release party only. We will be joined on stage by the lovely and talented Kenna Burima (Keyboards), who played keys on the album and we are ever-grateful. We will also be joined by long time friend and talented musician Ryan Lottermoser (Bass). Some of our earliest shows in Calgary were with Ryan.
CCF Devastators will open up the show. The three original members of The Cripple Creek Fairies are back together and have put out an 8 song digital EP for your ears. It is available on their bandcamp site and you can pay whatever you think is fair for the tracks.
The Pygmies will play second for those people with day jobs, so that you don't have to stay up too late to see us.
The Nancees, Calgary's amazing new, young and fresh garage rock troop will top the show for us. These guys have quickly become one of our favorite Calgary bands. Their songwriting and stage presence are both a rare treat that must be seen.
The album was recorded by local legend Cam Hayden at Huge Ear Studios and Mastered by the equally gifted Brad Taylor at Taylor Sound in Calgary. It is being released on the stellar local label Sloth Records, so if you miss the shows, you can pick the cd up at the Sloth Store on 17th Avenue near Western High School. The photography on the album was shot by the exotic beer connoisseur and brilliant photographer Arif Ansari. And the artwork and layout of the disc were crafted by our very close friend and local artist Nathan Millar.
The mixing, mastering, photography and artwork are what make it worthwhile to own a hardcopy of the CD. We had hoped to make a vinyl version of it, but the odds were against us and that format eventually fell through thee cracks. If the disc is a success, we may one day be able to make it into a vinyl LP.
We can`t say enough thanks to everyone who has supported us in this endeavor. If you have read this far, I will be surprised, but thanks for sticking with us. Can`t wait for the show. Hope to see you there.
