A while ago I posted a status asking “Would you let me take your picture?” which seemed to have a lot of positive responses, so I decided to give this a try. I like to see this not only as an excuse to use my camera, but as a way to reconnect with people who I’ve fallen out of touch with. So whether we haven’t talked in a month, we haven’t seen each other in years, or we’re only acquaintances, I’d like to see you. Well, unless you only want to be “Facebook friends”, then I guess that’s cool.
I’m sure some people are going to decline or ignore this because they don’t want their photo taken or life is too busy and that’s fine with me (I have a life too, really!). I set up a description of this project below in Q&A form, but if you have any other questions go ahead and ask! Hope you’ll get involved and I hope to see you soon!

Q: What in the wide, wide world of sports is this?
A: A summer project where I take portraits of as many people as possible before the month ends.
Q: How in tarnation are you going to pull this off?
A: With a camera! Really though, anyone who wants to get involved just RSVP to attend this event, then we can arrange a time and place to meet and do the photo shoot. Simple as that! I may plan a gathering for a bunch of people to hang out and then we can do multiple shoots in one day, but that is still in the works.
Q: Who can volunteer for this awesome project?
A: Anyone! Could be you, your mom, your kid, your father’s brother’s nephew’s cousin’s former roommate… only qualification is to be a human!
Q: Where can we meet for a photo shoot?
A: Anywhere you want!* (*As long as it’s within a 50ish mile radius… but could be at a park, diner, house, outhouse, wherever… preferably not a crackhouse though)
Q: When can we meet for this photo shoot?
Anytime of the day, just has to be in the month of August.
Q: What’s in it for me?
A: Uh, a hearty handshake and a pat on the back? I’ll give everyone copies (print and/or digital) of final portraits to use as he/she pleases.
Q: Can you shoot me like one of your French girls?
A: If I had any French girls…
