You are cordially invited to multiverse: a black od(d)yssey, a Black History Month Program produced by Brooklyn Community Pride Center in collaboration with Roots and River Productions.

This program is free with a suggested donation of $7.

multiverse is a multidisciplinary interactive installation, performance and video showcase produced by the artists of Roots and River Productions, exploring the possibilities of a black queer future.

The evening will also feature screenings and discussions of the forthcoming films "We Came To Sweat: the Making and the Taking of the Starlite Lounge"* and "Langston's: a Film by (4) Colored Boys" by Novo Novus Productions.**

Refreshments will be provided, and the evening will include a raffle of fabulous prizes. All proceeds from the event will benefit Roots & River and BCPC.

--

*"We Came to Sweat" is a feature-length documentary directed by Kate Kunath and Sasha Wortzel about the eviction and historical erasure of the oldest Black owned gay bar in Brooklyn. The film explores the intersections of race, sexuality, and gentrification through the documentation of a historic and cultural institution on the verge of disappearance.

**novo=change novus=new
