Trade School celebrates practical wisdom, mutual respect and the social nature of exchange.

This March we will be holding classes for consecutive Thursdays at the Museum of Art and Design and at Cuchifritos Gallery in Essex Market while raising rent for our own storefront in April. More time and space means more wonderful teachers and students-like YOU!

In lieu of traditional Kickstarter campaigns we’d like to invite you to a party, to give you something face to face for your support of Trade School. Come to the Commons Brooklyn for a night of live folk music and delicious food. Performers include Joe Crow Ryan and Aaron Roche followed by The Contrapolitans playing live music as contra caller Jessica Kaufman teaches us some traditional dancing.

Bring food! Bring dance shoes! Bring your friends! If you don’t have food, bring an appetite. If you don’t have dance shoes, bring a willingness to learn from our teachers. If you don’t have friends, come make some.

Face painting and hat-making available.

$10 suggested donation, $5 with a dish- no one turned away!
