On March 3rd at 4:00PM, STEPS Theatre invites you to a reading of "Ask Joseph" (in Russian) --a theatrical fantasy by Slava Stepnov and Roman Freud, following the dramaturgy of Anton Chekhov and inspired by the prose of Joseph Brodsky.
This drama is based on facts from the life of Joseph Brodsky, but the playwrights are convinced that this play is not about a particular person. This story is about immigrants: the people who dramatically changed their lives and found themselves in two separate realities. This is a drama about creative people, the ones who probably feel these realities most closely.
The play will be read by:
Yelena Stroganova
Liza Kaymin
Roman Freud
Misha Freud
David Varer
Joseph Toloraia
Sergey Nagorny
The reading of the play "Ask Joseph" will be followed by an exhibition of photographic portraits from the "Ancestor Blueprint" project by the New York artist Anya Roz.
Music by Dmitry Sokolovsky
Directed by Slava Stepnov
