In recognition of the 4th Annual James E. Davis Photographic Art Exhibit,

Geoffrey A. Davis, founder of the James E. Davis Stop Violence Foundation (JEDSVF) and brother to slain Councilman James E. Davis, will host “Arts Against Violence Weekend". The events will be held on February 25,2012 at the James E. Davis Art Building, located at 80 Hanson Place (SouthPortland Avenue in Fort Greene Brooklyn; the cultural district of New YorkCity).

This exhibit is held each year from January 17th through February 29th and includes the dynamic combination of work demonstrating community services from painters, photographers, film makers and video artists. This year The Jazz show will feature the Ken Bogan Quartet.

KenBogan Quartet has performed Jazz at various venues throughout the country for philanthropiccauses. The event will also include aspecial award ceremony honoring Debbie McClain the founder of Brownstone JazzCafé for keeping educational and cultural history of Jazz alive in Brooklyn.

JEDSVF has continued to work with everyone from models, designers and artist to support and encourage them to continue to be creative and to be positive role models within their communities.

Dress code: fashionable or formal.

Event contribution is $20.00, refreshments included.

Cocktail hour from 7-8pm Show time 8.15pm
