The indelicates

http://www.indelicates.com/

Formed in late 2005, The Indelicates have established themselves as one of the most exciting bands to come out of the UK.

Essentially the joint project of Simon Indelicate (formerly a performance poet and author of ‘The Book Of Job: The Musical’ – revived in 2010) and Julia Indelicate (an acclaimed documentary photographer) The Indelicates are a piano and guitar-led pop/rock act from Sussex, UK. Taking their musical cues from folk and classical sources – as well as the broad spectrum of British indie rock – they write melodic, edgy and intellectually coherent songs that have been consistently well-received in the UK and abroad.

The Fades

http://www.last.fm/music/The+Fades

The Fades were formed 2000 by Richmond based brothers James and Dave Lightfoot as Petrol Bomb, later Molotov Cocktail. They became The Fades when guitarist Jonny Barnard joined the band in early 2002 after a Molotov Cocktail demo was featured on Steve Lamacq’s show on BBC Radio 1. The band’s first releases were the singles “You Say” and “Life Support” in 2003. Both songs have been played by Steve Lamacq and Zane Lowe. “You Say” was playlisted at XFM and a live session was recorded with Claire Sturgess.

The Manic Shine

The Manic Shine are in the business of breaking moulds. They do away with the over-used chord structures and conventional genres with their aptly named 'metamorphic rock'; which nods to past times of heavy guitar blues; but is then amplified and entwined with electronic noises of the future. A raucous blend of progressive rock but not prog, indie stylings but no skinny jeans, and all the irreverent synth chaos of 21st century electronica.

The Wondersmiths

https://www.facebook.com/thewondersmiths

The Wondersmiths are a fresh. exciting and massively energetic Indie, Pop, Rock band - with a ‘hint of love’.

Since appearing on BBC introducing, these talented musicians from South East England are dividing their time between supporting some of the finest acts around, including The Maccabees, Bloc Party, Kasabian, Grouplove and Cosmo Jarvis and working hard in the studio on their debut album.

The French Electric

https://www.facebook.com/TheFrenchElectric

Formed from disparate parts of the UK with a mutual love of the darker shades of '80's indie, the French Electric bring broken dystopian soundtracks of spidering guitars, driving bass and washes of synths, all fronted by the formidable baritone of Simon Board. If Editors had found fuzz pedals before pianos you might be getting close, if the Lost Boys had been filmed in East London you would be closer still.

The Inevitable Pinhole Burns

https://www.facebook.com/theinevitablepinholeburns

London four piece ‘The Inevitable Pinhole Burns’ formed in 2010; born out of a mutual love for the alt rock and shoegaze of the 80’s and 90s. There is no target sound or genre, there is no design brief, there is no image. Basking in their imperfections, TIPB feed melody and feedback through fuzz and fx to form something different, dirty, sweet and heavy. Birdsong with attitude.
