Alex has produced a short animation that will also be projected around the space on the night...► Alex Dipple is a Brighton based contemporary artist.

► She collects obscure evidence from ambiguous sources... creating wonderful, striking pieces of artwork.

" Her work resonates with a queasy sense of unease and isolation. She peers deep into the spaces that surround us focussing on recurring design features and personality ticks that form a backdrop for the information we consume. Time is slowed and she encourages us to consider the patterns and tropes that shape our ‘perceived reality’. Alex is hacking into the very private space between the eye and the brain. This unsettling, hidden world can make the viewer nauseous, dizzy or uncomfortable. ‘Don’t look too close!’ or it might also seduce the viewer into becoming more aware of the frameworks that surround us.

Punctuation is harvested and divided off into fiercely charged dystopian groups. Horizontal rules slide like sediment into claustrophobic spaces. Recurring images, storylines and features consumed daily, manipulate and seduce. Alex erases and cuts away primary information and obscure background structures are exposed. Her pursuit of clarity finds her embedded in detail and myth. It seems possible that the closer she looks… the less she can see !"... ►For Exhibition sales please speak to Charlie or James
