A harmonizing mix of rockin' funk & southern soul featuring G.E.D. Soul Records' AJ & The Jiggawatts with Deep Fried 5!

AJ & THE JIGGAWATTS

This newest addition to the G.E.D. Soul roster is

another all star group of sorts. Featuring AJ Eason

(the Coolin' System) on the mic along with Tim

Hawkins (Sky Hi) on bass, Andrew Muller (The

Half-Truths/MI3) on guitar, Pablo Ahogado (the Coolin'

System) on keys and D. Singleton (Half-Truths, MI3,

Sky Hi) on drums. The Jiggawatts bring a unique

brand of "Rock n' Soul" to G.E.D. that is both heavy in

the rhythm department and smooth on the soulful

melodies.

This group gets W.I.L.D.

Look for the debut on the G.E.D. Soul Xmas EP as

well as their debut 7" in 2012.

DEEP FRIED 5

With original tracks, reminiscent of 60s and 70s funk and soul, the music takes you back to when it was pure…"These dudes have moved to the top of the chart in our heart with a sound that finds the more commercial aspects of late-’70s soul — you know, when it was bumping uglies with the beast that was about to become disco." says Sean Maloney of the Nashville Scene. The group continues to grow and expand, pushing the envelope of a new progressive funk sound that has undertones of jazz, rock, soul, r&b, and blues; winning the affection of all different genres of music fans. In late 2009, they began working on their first album: a 14-track, self-produced record at the Groove Compound Recording Studios in Spring Hill, TN. After releasing the album "Saturday Night Funk, Sunday Morning Soul", the band is rapidly building up a funky fan base around the southeast, spreading the 'Deep Fried' sound.

Look for their follow up album by Summer 2012.
