Synthesize Me is two years old. We've made some good friends along the way, possibly lost a couple as well, not to mention the hangovers, burnt-out retinas, altered braincells and complaints from the neighbours. Big thanks to everyone who's supported us, lent us things, shared their knowledge, bought us drinks or just come along to check it out – and especially those who've played records and played live, just for the hell of it. We salute you!

So, onward - and upward, inward, backwards and sideways, as always.

This month's special guest, all the way from fashionable east London, is PIERS MARTIN of Vice magazine – Italo guru, lover of all things weird and Finnish, and creator of Cocadisco, who've had the likes of Aphex Twin, William Bennett and The 'no-actually-their-last-album-was-quite-good' Horrors playing at their club nights. Must have offered them money or something, is that how it works?

As a last-minute addition there's also improvised electronics and distortion from MIKRO-PIMMEL, a stripped-down version of fuzz-organ orchestra Pimmel, whose recent performance at Cafe OTO was described by Mike Barnes of The Wire as 'a cross between Terry Riley and The Glitter Band'. This one won't sound anything like that, but I thought I'd mention it anyway...

And of course there will be bleeps, boings and beautiful noises from the SYNTHESIZE ME resident DJs and a "fabulously excessive lightshow" (©Eyeball) by Myriad Lights. Let's see if he can avoid dropping it this time.
