★ Anchorsong:

An exciting Japanese-British live electronica artist, who demands comparison to Bonobo, but has a vision all his own. His music's wide range of moods includes up-tempo full-throttle soundscapes to unwritten films, alongside down tempo bath beats and bleep melodies. This is his first Brighton headline show and it's an intimate debut at The Blind Tiger, with visuals and a few surprises.

♒♒♒♒♒♒♒♒♒♒♒♒♒♒♒Originally from Tokyo, and now based in London, Anchorsong – aka Masaaki Yoshida – is becoming reknowned for his unique live shows, described as “like watching a painter drawing on a white canvas”, creating electronic music completely live using a sampler (MPC2500) and instruments.

He debuts at The Blind Tiger Club to play his first headline show in Brighton, before a tour to support his debut album. The album, Chapters, was released last November on Brighton label Tru Thoughts, home to Belleruche, Hint, Zed Bias and Hidden Orchestra.

Believing that the atmosphere and excitement of live performance should sweep an audience away, Anchorsong brings a vibrant energy, warmth and sense of occasion to the world of electronic music with his compelling live act.
