Await Rescue, as a whole, can be summed up in a few short words: Rock, Boston, fighter jets, four piece, independent, wheelies, and powerful. They aren't just a band, they are a demolition crew that thoroughly enjoys playing loud, aggressive music.

More precisely, Await Rescue is a four-piece, independent Alternative/Progressive Rock band hailing from Boston. And not “independent” as in the catch-all music genre; it simply means that the band does everything in-house, while making the loud Rock music that they want to hear. Await Rescue's rock quest began in 2006, and their path has been guided by bands such as Foo Fighters, Incubus, A Perfect Circle, Deftones, Queens Of The Stone Age, The Mars Volta, Soundgarden, Uncle Ted Nugent, and all of the countless other forefathers of Rock n’ Roll that need not be repeated.

To date Await Rescue has released three albums, toured the East Coast, sold out shows at The Middle East Nightclub, been voted into the Top 5 on the WZLX Boston Emissions’ Chart for four consecutive weeks, and had their song “Fool My Eyes” featured in the TV show “NY Ink.” And most importantly, they have had way too much fun doing it all.

The band is currently working on new music that sounds like Await Rescue while not sounding too much like old Await Rescue. There are some slower songs in works in addition to some of the heaviest music they have ever written. One song is sure to incite at least one individual in this great big, crazy world to ride a motorcycle into one of their shows and proceed to do doughnuts while putting on a smoke show in the middle of the crowd (the members of the band say their prayers every night for this exact occurrence to take place). If the aforementioned song is not the song to get this done, then Await Rescue will never write a song badass enough to accomplish this feat and the boys will have to go and ask for their Harley Davidson deposits back.

Await Rescue is ecstatic to be partnering with the New England Art Rock Society (NewEARS) for the band's upcoming recording fundraiser on Saturday, March 17th at The Magic Room in Brighton. Show proceeds will go towards helping cover the costs of the band's upcoming EP, which promises not to disappoint while most definitely showing a new side of the band. Await Rescue is excited about what lies ahead and hopes you are too.
