Dog Is Dead have been enthralling audiences in their hometown of Nottingham and beyond with their eclectic sound, stage show camaraderie and their wizardry with that much overlooked and underrated instrument, the saxophone.
A busy 2011 saw the Nottingham five piece perform at festivals up and down the country and share the road as tour support with Bombay Bicycle Club on 7 dates of their Autumn UK tour. The end of the year also saw brand new single Hands Down, produced by David Kosten (Bat for Lashes / Everything Everything) released on Halloween, to critical acclaim.
Their boundless energy, ever-growing musical prowess, and fistfuls of hook-laden pop tunes will thrill their already loyal fan base as well as recruit a new legion of admirers. Work on their much-awaited debut album is well underway. We anticipate this next year to be the biggest of their fledgling career.
‘This upcoming Nottingham quintet have quite the knack for making bright, breezy and infectious indie pop’ – The Guardian
Wednesday 14th March sees Dog Is Dead return to the familiar surroundings of the south coast moving from strength to strength. Missed them previously? You now have the chance to catch them at Brighton's famous Komedia for what will be an incredible show.
