Conferences are an important time to learn and hear speakers, but also to hang out with members of your community that you may hardly ever get to see, or perhaps have never met before. We hope that having a two-day event will give you that extra time to make new connections, strengthen old ones, have fun, relax… and learn twice as much.
This event is totally unique in Europe. It is the only one of its kind dedicated to multibed and community acupuncture, and ACMAC is the only organisation in Europe right now championing multibed practice.
This day aims to be a melting-pot of information, inspiration, discussion and networking on all aspects of multibed practice. We are keen that everyone participates in the day and all speakers will have time to take questions. But our fab speakers are not the only ones with a wealth of knowledge, however, and we value highly the thoughts and experiences of delegates, so please be willing to share and add to the richness of the day.
We are looking forward to hearing from some GREAT speakers:
LISA ROHLEDER – Co-Founder of Working Class Acupuncture, Portland, USA, Community Acupuncture Network and POCA (People’s Organization of Community Acupuncture), and author of The Remedy and Acupuncture is like Noodles. It is an honour that Lisa has agreed to travel all the way from Portland to be with us. Lisa will present a key-note speech and there will be lots of time to ask questions.
NIK TILLING AND CALUM THOMSON - Co-Founders of the Dragon Acupuncture Project, Brighton: the UK’s original non-NHS funded multibed clinic. Our very own local acupunks and the successful co-founders of the UK's busiest multibed clinic.
NICK PAHL - CEO of the British Acupuncture Council. Nick has previous experience in the NHS working as Commissioner for mental health and carers, and is excited by the potential of multibed practice in taking acupuncture forward in the UK.
KATHERINE BERRY – Director of The Acupuncture Network, (International online forum) and AcupunctureProfessional.com (online CPD). Katherine is committed to spreading the word about multibed acupuncture in her native Australia.
CHARLOTTE WHITESTONE – Founder and Director of ACMAC, and Acupuncturist.
Also a special Qi Gong session led by PETER DEADMAN, author and editor of JCM.
