THE MEGAPHONIC THRIFT
The Megaphonic Thrift are a Norwegian indie-supergroup of sorts, consisting of members of Stereo21, Young Dreams, Low Frequency In Stereo and Casiokids. They make catchy melodies and then drench them guitarnoise, best described as noisepop with shoegaze elements. Their premier references are acts like Sonic Youth, Built To Spill, Dinosaur Jr., Guided By Voices and My Bloody Valentine.
They have toured with the likes of A Place To Bury Strangers and The Depreciation Guild and were even handpicked for support slots by Band Of Horses and Dinosaur Jr.
"One of the most enthralling live bands on the shoegaze/noise circuit." - Drowned in Sound

SWIMMING
Swimming came together by making a series of ‘ambient electronic post-rock’ minidisk and cassette recordings for friends. Their sound is notoriously difficult to describe and they have been compared to over 50 different acts, with comparisons from as far afield as Autechre to the Beach Boys, Brian Eno to Duran Duran.
The band’s self-produced debut album ‘The Fireflow Trade’ came out in 2009 and was included in many best album end of year lists including number 21 in The Fly. After touring throughout Europe in late 2010 they signed to Tummy Touch Records who released their second album ‘Ecstatics International’, which again made its way on to many best album lists, with Clash Magazine making it one of their top 10 releases of the year.
"As headspinningly inventive as they are euphorically engaging" – Drowned In Sound

BAD APES
Bad Apes revive the No-Wave scene of 70s New York with influences of everything since. Clattering Sonic Youth and My Bloody Valentine guitars chainsaw and laserbeam their way through deep and swirly psychedelic basslines and thunderous drum & bass flavoured beats.
Theirs is a live show that has to be seen to be believed. They play at punishing volumes with an intensity which means it’s not uncommon to see them bleeding at the end of their performance.
