MATHEW AND THE ATLAS

Matthew and the Atlas is London based Matthew Hegarty. Hegarty filters his textured and dreamy take on Americana through a distinctly English folk sensibility, and - with his bruised and raw vocal to the fore - tells stories that sound like they’ve been handed down through the ages. Having played and recorded with a full 5 piece band since early 2010 – and in that time releasing two acclaimed EPs on Communion Records, touring the US twice and steadily building a growing fan-base in the UK and beyond – Hegarty is stripping these songs back to their beautiful basics in 2012 and touring with a stripped back set up to match.
