SOUND OF GUNS
Liverpool’s Sound Of Guns came together with a common goal a love for good passionate music, and to forge a sound akin to their collective influences…from Foo Fighters to Led Zeppelin, and The Walkmen to The Doors. This diversity helps them cast off the usual sound associated with their hometown, Sound Of Guns have chosen anthemic power chords over jangly guitars and riotous gang vocals over quirky lyricism. An experience of epic proportions!
SOG are a finely tuned musical juggernaut who are mercilessly shifting through the gears and clocking up sufficient mileage with their relentless workaholic ethics, as they look to emerge out of the shadows of obscurity and into the unforgiving threshold of popular culture. Their single ‘Architects’ clocked up an impressive fifteen plays on Radio 1 and the band performed four times at last year’s Glastonbury Festival as well as Latitude Festival. They have recently been featured as Steve Lamacq’s favourite new band on his 6music show, and lead track ‘Elementary of Youth’ was recently Zane Lowe’s ‘hottest record in the world’.

CAPITAL SUN
Formed in the winter of 2010, Capital Sun are a four-piece acoustic rock band from Birmingham, England. The band’s major influences are bands and artists from the late 60s & early 70s, which combined with very current lyrical themes, gives the band a pertinent sound to today’s listener.
The band began as an acoustic duo called Mute Existence, with founder members Glen Boden and Andrew Smith. Over time the songs required a bigger sound and two new members were recruited in the form of Luke Weston and Chris Taylor This is when Mute Existence became Capital Sun. A powerful, progressive and dynamic sound, combined with a charismatic performance that will always leave a crowd asking for more and has seen them support acts such as Sound of Guns, The View and The Enemy.
Capital Sun have recently released their debut single ‘Forgotten Songs’, their first release from the bands collaboration with Grammy-nominated record producer Chris Tsangarides.
