Childhood friends Jason C. Waller and Tiffany Leigh reunited after 10 years and began traveling the Southeast, sharing their songs, and making new friends. Audiences quickly became fans of their 2010 EP entitled My Poor Queen. This propelled the duo to progress their simple and joyful singer/songwriter style into a rich multi-layered sound. 2012 marks the release of their first full-length album Stoke The Fire and an all new line up. WALLER is off the leash!

In less than a year, WALLER has evolved from a straightforward folk duo to a full-band powerhouse. Waller is just as comfortable roaring through a country classic as they are pulling at your heart strings with a tender ballad. With deceptively simple songs, WALLER has stood out amidst the crowded music scene as something truly special: a group of good friends making great music.

WALLER has been winning over audiences with their soulful and authentic style; turning each show into a grand family reunion. Their songs ring with the comfort of home, drawn from a deep well of community and kinfolk. They are often compared to legends such as The Carter Family, John Prine, or Alison Krauss & Union Station. WALLER is not afraid to call on the traditions of artists who have come before and stay song-oriented maintaining their stature as an unmistakably modern band.

At the heart of WALLER is the sound of new growth, from the deep roots of Southern music - roots that produced the great American musical styles of Country, Blues, Rock n’ Roll, and Jazz. WALLER is a band from Georgia, born of the Americana tradition, yet raised in the modern age.

BOOK CLUB www.bookclubtheband.com

Atlanta’s Book Club, a modern folk quintet founded by Robbie Horlick (of indie rockers Cassavetes), navigates today’s indie-folk sea with a rare honesty and classicism. The band honors the folk tradition, yet is unbound by it; every song is a fresh take on an old history. Anchored by the rich and sweetly-sung co-ed harmonies of Horlick and Leigh Anne Macquarrie, their arrangements range from that of a lone nylon guitar to songs thoughtfully embellished by cello, double bass, pedal steel, melodica, glockenspiel, saxophone, percussion, and more. Paying simultaneous homage to their traditional, and their modern, influences, Book Club draws easy comparisons to She & Him, Bonnie “Prince” Billy, and The Dutchess and Duke one minute, and Patsy Cline, The Carter Family, and Fleetwood Mac the next.

Ghost, the band’s first LP, released digitally and on limited edition vinyl - and handmade bookmark - on August 2, 2011, sounds like what might result if Lou and Nico were from the South and grew up on Mermaid Avenue, or if by some crazy wrinkle in time, Johnny and June grew up listening to Tom Petty and Iron & Wine. The songs on Ghost are pretty and sad, and there is a magic to their orchestration, at times sparse and delicate, at times embellished and blissful. Carefully arranged and tied together by a simple narrative element - with nary a wasted note - Book Club’s Ghost is at once modern and hauntingly timeless.

RYAN SHEFFIELD www.ryansheffield.com

From Carolina to California and back again, Ryan Sheffield is a man on the move. Currently residing in Asheville, North Carolina, the twenty-five year old singer/songwriter has been cutting his teeth in venues across the country for the past ten years. Fittingly, his brand of indie-pop music finds its own roots in stories of travel, youthful triumph and shortcomings, and the underlying hope that in the end all of us might just be okay. Recently, Sheffield has been involved in a long-distance recording project with Santa Fe musician Bryan Highhill, and the duo (Ryan and the Highhills) released their debut album Head for the Coast in July 2010.
