The Hunger Walk/Run began in 1984 as a grassroots movement in response to the issue of hunger locally and globally. Today, all proceeds collected through Hunger Walk/Run remain in our community.

March 11, 2012, Event at Green Lot/Turner Field; Walk/Run throughout Downtown Atlanta.

12:00 Noon Park Opens/Event Onsite Registration Begins

2:00 5K Walk/Run

4:00 Park Closes

PARKING IS FREE! All walkers and runners are encouraged to park in the onsite Turner Field Blue Lot to avoid crossing the street. The Blue Lot is on Capitol Avenue just above the Green Lot where the event is held Registration begins at noon. Come early to enjoy entertainment, food and games before the races begin. Festivities conclude at 4:00 p.m. The Run and Walk will take you through downtown Atlanta with entertainment along the route. No pets allowed on this walk.

If we get 15 people registered for this event, Turner Broadcasting will donate $500 to the cause!
