Marylanders (and others) for Marriage Equality

On March 1, 2012, Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley signed into law the Civil Marriage Protection Act. This law treats gays and lesbians with dignity and respect by allowing them to marry. It’s a matter of fairness under the law.

The opportunity for Maryland to be one of the first States to successfully defend a referendum against marriage equality is fast approaching. With less than 100 days until the election Marylanders for Marriage Equality need your help.

Delegate Luke Clippinger, Elizabeth Drennan Bisland, Darren Douglas, Michael Dunty, Kristin Fleckenstein, and Brian Marsh are hosting a night to celebrate the ability for everyone to love and marry whomever they want. Gay and lesbian couples share the same values of love, commitment and strong families – they should have the same opportunity to get a marriage license.
